Use

You protect test plans against changes to document the status of the test plans at a specified time for your internal quality assurance, or for audits.

Prerequisites

·        You have created a test plan.

·        To protect a test plan or cancel the protection, you need authorization for the authorization object S_TWB with activity 70.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Test Workbench Test Organizer Manage Test Plan.

       2.      Choose a test plan.

       3.      Choose Goto Display Attributes.

You go to the test plan attribute display.

       4.      Switch to change mode.

       5.      Choose Protect.

       6.      Confirm the prompt.

The test plan is protected against changes. The pushbutton label changes to Cancel Protection. You can now cancel the protection of the test plan with the Cancel Protection pushbutton.

Result

The test plan can no longer be changed. You can now only lock the assignment of a test package to a tester for this test plan.

You can no longer perform the following functions for this test plan:

·        Test package management:

¡        Create, change or copy packages

¡        Assign and deassign testers

·        Status analysis:

¡        Change status (manually, or automatically in eCATTS)

¡        Create, assign or delete messages

¡        Create notes

Note

To search for protected test plans in the status analysis, choose the value Protected for the field Status in the possible entries help.
