The Solution Documentation Assistant shows the structure and check rules of an analysis project. You can use the view to do the following, for example:
Test or edit the check rules assigned to the nodes of the analysis structure
Change the logical components assigned to the analysis project
You have called the Analysis Projects
view in the Solution Documentation Assistant.
You have clicked on the name of an analysis project in the table, to open the view for this analysis project.
The view of an analysis project shows its underlying Solution Manager project, and the check rules assigned to the analysis structure nodes.
The Solution Documentation Assistant displays the structure of an analysis project in the Analysis Structure
area, as a tree. Some structure branches or nodes are abstract. They summarize the business scenarios or processes below them, and their steps. Nodes such as these are called, for example:
Organizational units
Master Data
Business Scenarios
Business Processes
Note
You cannot assign check items to abstract nodes.
The other nodes represent specific business scenarios, business processes, and business process steps. They have the name they received in the underlying Solution Manager project. A node such as this could represent the order creation business process, for example.
Check items are assigned to this node, which in turn is assigned check steps, which enable the node to be rated during the analysis. You can see which nodes have already been assigned check items, from the attachment symbol in the structure.
The analysis also takes the analysis structure hierarchy into consideration when determining results. In this way, a business scenario summarizes the evaluation results of all business processes that belong to this business scenario, and a business process summarizes the results of all steps that belong to this business process.
The Check Rules
area, which displays the check items and check steps for a structure node, is next to the analysis structure.
A node can be assigned check items, a check item can be assigned check steps.
You have the following options:
You can open the Check Rules view. For this you need to click the nodes of the analysis project structure.
Note
You can only assign check rules to nodes that represent business scenarios, business processes, and business process steps.
For more information, see Check Rules.
You can change the logical components assigned to the analysis project. For more information, see Editing Logical Components of an Analysis Project.
