To reuse test plans, you can copy one or more of them.
You can:
Copy without test packages
Copy with test packages
With or without test package assignments to testers
If you copy without assignments, you can reassign the test packages to testers.
With or without messages which are assigned to the test package and are still open
If you copy messages, you can also filter them by status. By default, those messages are selected which imply follow-up activities:
On the Test Case Error
tab page, you can select the status of messages concerning damaged test cases.
On the Incident (IT Management)
tab page, you can select the status of messages concerning functional errors.
With or without sequencing rules.
A sequence defined in the test plan settings allows, for example, a test case only to be executed if a preceding test case has been executed.
When copying single test plans, you can choose between English and German as the original language of the copy.
In the Test Management work center, you have chosen the Test Plan Management
view.
To copy multiple test plans, you have the extended authorization object for mass changes. For more information, see the SAP Solution Manager Security Guide on SAP Service Marketplace at
.Recommendation
Before automatically copying multiple test plans, define renaming rules so as to not need to rename the multiple copied test plans individually.

Select the test plan(s) to be copied.
Choose
.You go to the Test Plan Copy
view.
Under Copy Scope
, set the checkboxes for the copy settings.
Adapt the test plan attributes, for example title, displayed in the Generated Test Plan
column, or the person responsible, as required, and choose Apply Mass Change
, if applicable.
Choose Copy
.
A dialog box appears.
Confirm.
The test plans are copied. You can no longer edit the attributes.
The system has copied the test plan(s), according to your selection.
