Use

You can change test plans quickly by putting new test cases, which have not yet been put in test catalogs, in existing test cases.

Note

Test plan structure changes are not automatically put in the test catalog. You must usually also make these changes in the test catalog.

Procedure

  1. Go to the test plan maintenance initial screen via Tools Test Test Workbench Test Organizer Test Plan Management.
  2. Choose a test plan. Use the F4 help or choose a test plan from your Favorites.
  3. Choose Test Plan Change without Reference to Test Catalog.
  4. Expand the test plan and click on the structure symbol of a test catalog.

You go to the structure maintenance initial screen.

Change, Delete or Reassign Nodes

  1. Change or delete a node with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text respectively.
  2. To move nodes:
    1. Position the cursor on the node and choose Cut.
    2. Position the cursor on the node after which the selected nodes are to be inserted.
    3. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Subnode) or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Same Level).
  1. Save the changes.

Insert nodes at the same or a lower level

  1. Position the cursor on the object to which you want to insert a node at the same or a lower level.
  2. Choose Insert Node as Subnode or Insert Node at Same Level.
  3. Choose the node type.

You can also create a new test case here. Enter a test case name, choose a test case type, and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

  1. Choose Continue.

The new node is created.

Note

Various icons appear in front of the new node, depending on the object included. Their meaning is described under Goto Legend.

  1. Save the changes.
