Procedure

Choose test catalog

       1.      Go to the test catalog maintenance initial screen with Tools ABAP Workbench Test Test Workbench Test Organizer Test Catalog Management.

       2.      Choose a test catalog. Use the possible entries help, or choose a test catalog from your Favorites.

       3.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

       4.      Expand the test catalog.

Insert nodes at the same or a lower level

...

       1.      Position the cursor on the object to which you want to insert a node at the same or a lower level.

       2.      Choose As subnode or At the same level.

       3.      Choose the node type.

¡        Structure text: Enter a text. To create several structure nodes, choose More nodes.

¡        Test Case: Choose a test case type (e.g. manual or eCATT). Enter the name of the test case which you want to put in the structure.

You can also create a new test case here. Specify a test case name, choose a test case type, and choose Create.

Note

To save an existing document, e.g. a Word document, as the test case description, create the test case as an External Application, and upload the document into the test case.

¡        You can also specify whether you want to use variants of a CATT or eCATTs: you can choose all variants, including or excluding the default variant, or specify particular variants.

Note

The default variant of a CATT is the first variant of the CATT which you created.

¡        Test Catalog: Choose the test catalog to be included, from the possible entries help.

¡        Documentation: Enter a short text, which is to appear in the test catalog structure, in the Short Text field. Choose a document class from the possible entries help. Choose the document from the possible entries help help for the Document field.

       4.      Choose Continue.

The new node is created.

Change, Reassign or Delete Nodes

To change, reassign or delete nodes:

·        Enter new nodes with Insert as subnode and Insert at the same level.

·        Delete a node with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

·        Change a node with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

·        Reassign nodes with Drag & Drop.

In the following dialog box you must decide whether the nodes are to be inserted as subnodes or at the same hierarchy level.

·        To copy nodes into the buffer:

§         ...

                            a.      Position the cursor on the node

                            b.      You can select more nodes by keeping the CTRL key pressed and putting the cursor on the nodes

                            c.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

·        When you have copied nodes into the buffer, as described in step 5, you can insert them at the current cursor position with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Note

The buffer can also be copied into other test catalogs. This allows copying between test catalogs.

Save the changes.
