Go to  Business Process Operations (New) Set Up Business Process Monitoring .

In the Solution Settings area, select the checkbox Monitoring using MAI, to monitor the solutions in job monitoring in the Technical Monitoring work center.

Select the solution, business scenario, business process and step with the job to be monitored.

In the Monitoring Objects tab, choose Create a New Monitoring Object.

In the Create New Monitoring Object section, in the Cross Application area, select Background Processing.

Choose the monitor from drop-down Monitor list.

Choose OK to launch the Job Monitoring Configuration window.

In the Job Monitoring Configuration window, perform the following activities:
