To monitor task schedules, task logs and their status, and run tasks for related systems, define initial settings for the system administration environment.

SAP delivers, for example, component-specific task templates for the session with inactive task frequencies. You can change these inactive task frequencies to the SAP default task frequencies, or your own settings.

Prerequisites

  • You have created your solution landscape.

  • You have set up the RFC connections between SAP Solution Manager and the managed systems in your solution landscape.

  • You have authorization for the administration function ADM, authorization object: S_SAA_ADMI to display and edit the General Session Customizing and Global Customizing tasks.

Activities

  1. In the Technical Administration work center, under Related Links, choose   Central System Administration   Configuration  .

  2. Choose the solution for which you want to define the task settings, and then choose Setup CSA.

  3. Choose the system you want to customize.

    The Central System Administration setup is displayed.

  4. You can perform the following customizing tasks:
