You use this function to display information about archiving jobs, archiving statistics, and archiving file statistics.

Prerequisites

  • You have completed the Basic Configuration and System Preparation scenarios in SAP Solution Manager Configuration. This is a required to load the data required for the reporting view.

  • You have completed the Activate DVM Extractors step in the DVM scenario of SAP Solution Manager Configuration. The extractors must have been active for at least the period of time you want to analyze.

  • In the target system, you have performed archiving runs in the respective target client for which the extractors were scheduled.

Procedure

  1. Under Archiving Information, select a scenario or system in the table and choose Archiving Information.

  2. Specify the period you want to analyze and the frequency of the analysis.

  3. Specify the entities in your system landscape for which you want to perform the analysis.

  4. Select the information you want to display:

    • On the Archiving Jobs tab page, you can view the archiving information based on the system or archiving object.

    • On the other tab pages, you have the additional option to view the information based on more specific information, such as history.

  5. To refine the analysis, you can set various parameters.

  6. After you have made your selection, you have two options:

    • To check your entries, choose Check.

    • To display the results, choose Execute.

Result

The system displays a detailed overview of the archiving information in your system landscape. You can filter the results based on specific systems or archiving objects. The following information is displayed:

  • Conditions

    You can define additional conditions that reduce the overall results to specific information. To do so, choose Create and make the following entries:

    1. Enter a name for the condition and specify whether the condition is active.

    2. Define the characteristics you want to apply for the condition.

    3. You can also refine the condition by specifying additional conditions with operators and the values you require.

    4. Confirm your entries.

      The condition appears as a new row in the table.

    5. You can activate or deactivate existing conditions within the table by choosing the status icon.

  • Navigation block

    You can filter the overall results based on specific characteristics and display the results in a table.
