Applications ( <System ID> – SAP BASIS <Release> Usage Applications )

This report shows which applications run in your system. The applications are identified by their application hierarchy code, so you see which application components are used particularly intensively in your system. The report offers a lot of options, which data to display, by which criteria.

You can specify which criteria apply to the applications to be displayed. You can specify when an application component is regarded as being particularly intensively used. You can choose among the following criteria:

You can display the values of these four metrics. The value of only one selected metric is displayed at a time in the graphic. You can select which one, in the radio buttons in the Display in Graphic subscreen. All four metrics are displayed in the table.

The graphic always shows the most intensively-used application components. You can remove this restriction in the table displayed below it, and display all destinations, by choosing Display All Applications in Table.

Transactions and Reports( <System ID> – SAP BASIS <Release> Usage Transactions and Reports )

This report shows which reports and transactions are used in your system, how intensively. The navigation and display options are largely the same as for the Applications report described above; the difference is that, instead of metrics about application components, the same metrics are displayed for reports and transactions.

You can also restrict the data to be displayed, to a software component (first level of the application hierarchy), in the Filter subscreen with the Application dropdown list.

RFC Destinations( <System ID> – SAP BASIS <Release> Usage RFC Destinations )

This report shows the use of the RFC destinations in your system. You can answer the question, which of the specified RFC destinations of the systems are used, and how intensively. The report offers a lot of options, which data to display, by which criteria.

You can specify which criteria apply to the RFC destinations to be displayed. You can specify when an RFC destination is regarded as being particularly intensively used. You can choose among the following criteria:

You can display the values of these three metrics. The value of only one selected metric is displayed at a time in the graphic. You can select which one, in the radio buttons in the Display in Graphic subscreen. All three metrics are displayed in the table.

The graphic always shows the most intensively-used RFC destinations. You can remove this restriction in the table displayed below it, and display all destinations, by choosing Display All Destinations in Table. All existing ABAP destinations are listed, including those which are not used in the selected period.

Web Service Consumers ( <System ID> – SAP BASIS <Release> Usage Web Service Consumer )

This report shows which applications in your system use Web Services, and how intensively. As in the  Usage Applications report, this report identifies the applications with their application hierarchy code.

You can determine which criteria apply for the applications to be displayed in the report. This means that you can set whether you want to display applications with the longest web service runtime or with the most frequent web service execution.

You can display the web service runtime values und the number of web service executions. The value of only one selected metric is displayed at a time in the graphic. You can select which one with the radio buttons in the Display in Graphic subscreen. In contrast, both metrics are displayed in the table.

The graphic always shows the most intensively-used applications. You can remove this restriction in the table displayed below it by choosing the Display All Applications in Table button. RFC and Web Service Providers ( <System ID> – SAP BASIS <Release> Usage RFC and Web Service Provider )

This report shows how intensively applications in your system operate as providers of Web Services and as RFC servers. As in the  Usage Applications report, this report identifies the applications with their application hierarchy code.

You can determine which criteria apply for the applications to be displayed in the report. This means that you can set whether you want to display applications with the longest runtime or with the most frequent execution.

You can display the values of runtime, the number of executions and the total data quantity transferred. The value of only one selected metric is displayed at a time in the graphic. You can select which one with the radio buttons in the Display in Graphic subscreen. In contrast, all metrics are displayed in the table.

The graphic always shows the most intensively-used applications. You can remove this restriction in the table displayed below it by choosing the Display All Applications in Table button.

Database ( <System ID> – SAP BASIS <Release> Usage Database )

This report shows the most important metrics about the use of the system database. The metrics, classified by read and write operations, are:

User Activity ( <System ID> – SAP BASIS <Release> Usage User Activity )

The report provides information about the number and the activities of the users in the selected system. The following metrics are displayed:

The measure of the intensity of use is the number of dialog steps which the user performs per week in the system. The following values apply:

When you run the report, it shows an overview, in which one value is output for each metric for the selected period. Choose Detail View, to display the development of the metrics in the selected period.
