You use this procedure to view and execute tasks created in IT task planning, centrally in IT task inbox.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Technical Administration work center.

  2. Choose IT Task Management.

  3. In the Task Inbox window, under Active Queries, choose a query to display the tasks, for example, choose My overdue tasks, to display all tasks relevant to you which are due in the past. You can also display tasks by defining your own custom query parameters.

  4. To view task details, select a task in the Task Details table.

  5. UnderTask Name, choose the task that you want to execute.

    Only the assigned processors or support organization can execute the created tasks. If a task does not have a processor assigned to it, and you belong to a valid support organization, you can choose Assign to Me to assign yourself as the processor of the task.

  6. Perform the steps and activities as suggested.

    Choose the Set Status button in IT Task Inbox window to change the task status, depending upon progress. You can also send a notification to the task scheduler, using the Create Notification button, for example, to notify your unavailability or request a substitute to process the task for you.
