You configure the Job Monitoring application in Solution Manager Configuration under   Technical Monitoring   Job Monitoring  .

Note Note

To monitor the objects that are already configured in a business process solution, select the solution for monitoring in the Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure (MAI) platform. The new unified job monitoring functionality monitors only all the objects that are MAI enabled. For more information on classical job monitoring, see Configuring Job Monitoring

Prerequisites

  • You are using SAP NetWeaver BW 7.0 or higher for BW process chains

  • You have implemented any additional SAP Notes that are required, depending on the Support Package Level of SAP Solution Manager 7.1

  • You have performed the steps under Managed System Configuration and System Monitoring Setup in SAP Solution Manager Configuration, for the systems in a Job Monitoring scenario.

  4. Configure jobs and BW process chains

    1. Selection of objects

    2. Define thresholds for alerts

    3. Define settings for incidents and notifications

  5. Activate job monitoring

  6. Complete
