Defining Interfaces Between Product Systems 

Use

You define the interfaces between your product systems.

Prerequisites

You have:

●      Created a solution

●      Specified or copied business scenarios

Procedure

       1.      Call the solution directory (transaction SOLMAN_DIRECTORY).

       2.      Choose the link Product Systems.

       3.      Choose the Component View tab page (see System Graphic).

You can:

                            a.      Create interfaces

You are in the detail view of a product system. Proceed as follows:

                                                  i.       The cursor is in the graphic of a system component of a product system.

                                                ii.       Press the right mouse button.

                                               iii.       Choose Draw Line.

                                               iv.       Draw a line to the other desired system component.

                            b.      Specify interface technology

...

...

                                                  i.       Your cursor is on an interface arrow.

                                                ii.       Press the right mouse button.

                                               iii.       Choose Attributes.

                                               iv.       Enter a name.

                                                 v.       Select the interface technology from the input help.

The following interface technologies are supported:

■       ALE/EDI

■       qRFC

 

                                               vi.       Copy your entries.

                                              vii.       Save your entries.

 

                            b.      c.  Delete interface

                                                  i.       Your cursor is on an interface arrow.

                                                ii.       Press the right mouse button.

                                               iii.       Choose Attributes.

                                               iv.       Delete the interface.

                                                 v.       Copy your entries.

                                               vi.       Save your entries.

 

Result

You have defined the interfaces.

You can now describe them in detail in the Business Process and Interface Monitoring session (see Business Process and Interface Monitoring).

Call up the editing mode to work on the checks. The system generates subchecks for the business processes and interface checks, automatically.
