Administration 

Use

The programs listed under Administration analyze administrative data. As well as general status analysis, you can analyze the worklists of one or more project team members, with special emphasis on the status and planned end. The Scope section list the analyses performed by each program.

Note the following differences, depending on the project analysis entry point:

General status analysis

Selection criteria

You can analyze one or more projects by the following criteria:

Project structure	Selection of substructures or structure elements to be reported
Logical components	Analysis of the logical components at the following structure levels: ·         Organizational units ·         Master data ·         Business processes (for individual process steps)
Project team members	Specify one or more project team member
Deadlines	Project deadlines: ·         Planned start ·         Planned end ·         Actual start ·         Actual end
Work resources	Planned resources Current resources Remaining resources (difference between planned and current resources)
Status	Status Percentage complete
Keywords	Keywords which you defined in the project administration and assigned in the project structure

Example

The following project analysis scenarios are possible:

●      Planned elements without actual data

The system analyzes all elements of the project structure for which the planned project start falls within the period you specified for Planned Start and for which no actual activity data yet exists.

Analysis criteria: Project number(s), Planned start period, Current resources = initial (no values), Remaining resources = initial (no values)

●      Incomplete elements

The system analyzes all elements of the project structure for which the planned project end falls within the period you specified for Planned End and which are not yet 100% completed.

Analysis criteria: Project number(s), Planned End period, Percentage complete < 100.

●      All started elements

The system analyzes all elements of the project structure for which the actual project start (from the actual data of the activity data) falls within the period you specified for Project Start and for which the actual project end is still open.

Analysis criteria: Project number(s), Project start, Project end = initial (no value)

●      All completed elements

The system analyzes all activities for which the actual project end (from the actual status information data) falls within the specified analysis period.

Analysis criteria: Project number(s), Actual End period

●      Individual analyses

You can perform individual analyses, as well as the analysis scenarios above, and define them as your default analyses. To be able to compare individual values in the analysis result to each other, you can calculate column totals.

For example, you are implementing several projects and find that the planned resources calculated are incorrect and that you will probably need more time.

To check the relationship between planned and current resources, you analyze all elements or activities that are not yet 100% complete. Then you calculate the total for the Planned Resources, Current Resources and Remaining Resources columns on the basis of the analysis result.

Analysis criteria: Project number(s), Planned resources, Current resources, Remaining resources, Percentage complete < 100.

Display all structure elements which have been assigned to one or more project team members as the person responsible

Selection criteria

Phase-specific entry

No selection criteria. The analysis is made in the project context with the logged-on user

Cross-phase entry

●      Project: Project to be analyzed

●      Project team member: One or more project team members whose worklist is to be found

Output

Project structure with status, team member and logical component

(My) Worklist by status

Display all structure elements which have been assigned to one or more project team members as the person responsible, with their status

Selection criteria

Status: Status values to be analyzed.
The analysis is made in the project context with the logged-on user.

Cross-phase entry

●      Project team member: One or more project team members whose worklist is to be found

Project structure with status, team member and planned end date

(My) Worklist by planned end date

Display all structure elements with their planned end date, i.e. the date on which processing by this project team member is planned to be completed

Planned end: Planned end of processing

The analysis is made in the project context with the logged-on user.

Cross-phase entry

●      Project team member: One or more project team members whose worklist is to be found
