With clearing analysis projects, you can identify and analyze obsolete customer objects. You use the clearing analysis result list to evaluate the results of a clearing analysis project.
To access the clearing analysis result list, click the Display Results activity in the Display phase of a clearing analysis project.
Specify the development classes or business processes that you want to use. Note that filtering by business processes is only possible for solution manager systems.
The result list UI contains the following areas:
Navigation Menu
The Navigation menu is represented by different folders (left hand side panel)
Result List
The Result List is the table in the main UI frame
Menu Bar
You use the menu bar (top of screen) to switch between the compressed and detailed views, and view results that are not included in the result list.
The navigation menu contains two views:
Object View
In the object view, you can select an object type and then sort the objects that you want to analyze.
Function View
In the function view, you can view the results of the analysis activities associated with a clearing analysis project.
Note
If the control system is a Solution Manager system, then you can also see the Business Process View. In the business process view, you can view information about the business processes.
The application represents these two views as two folders in the navigation menu. In the object view, you can view the result list for the entire view (that is, for all object types), or for an element of that view (for example domains).
There are two different views for the result list:
Compressed view
Detailed view
The default view is the compressed view. You can view administrative information in the compressed view. In the detailed view, you view information about the analysis result for each object.
Example
In the navigation menu, you choose All Objects from the Object View folder. The system displays a result list of all objects. The default view is the compressed view. To view information about the analysis results for these objects, you choose Detailed View.
The compressed view provides administrative information such as:
Status
Object type
Object name
Processor
To navigate directly to an object in a remote system, click the name of that object. An RFC connection must exist from the control system to the remote system. This feature is also available in the Detailed View, and is useful when you want to make some changes to the selected object in the remote system (generally a development system). You can change the status of an object. Initially, the status field of each object is grey. You change the status to another color, depending on the progress of that object. You can also change the status of an object in the Detailed View.
To view information about the analysis result for each object, choose Detailed View. The information you view here helps you to determine if an object might be obsolete. The following columns describe an analysis result:
Column |
Description |
Accessed |
An SQL statement has accessed this custom table. |
Is Used |
This flag is set as soon as an executable custom object has been added to the workload collector statistics in the Workload Monitor (transaction ST03N), or if the activity Perform Usage Analysis has identified that a custom object references an executable custom object. |
Usage Count |

Execution Count for Objects with no Reference |
This count shows the number of times the processing of the object was terminated during the activities Syntax Check and Objects with No Reference. |
TBOM |
This flag is set if the object is determined in the trace for TBOM (Technical Bill of Materials). Only relevant if the control system is a solution manager system. |
Top Down Analysis |
This flag is set if the object is determined during the top down analysis. Only relevant if the control system is a solution manager system. |
Object not Exist in Analysis System |
This flag denotes whether an object exists in the analysis system. Only relevant if the control system is a solution manager system. |
Counter |
This column displays the object count. |
If the control system is a solution manager system, you can view the following fields:
