Procedure

  1. In the results list, select the result data record you require.

    • You can use Parameters to check the settings that resulted in the result data record you selected.

    • You can display the selected results data record in a new window, with Display Externally.

  2. In the top detail table (Result ID ...), select the project or the solution to evaluate.

    • You can choose   Test Plan   Create Test Plan   to generate a test plan from all test cases that exist for the affected executable entities (see Creating Test Plans for Projects).

    • You can use   Test Plan   Extend Test Plan   to add test cases from the affected executable entities to an existing test plan. The system allows you to extend all test plans that exist for the project you selected.

    • Objects are often assigned to several nodes in the Business Process Hierarchy, and are in several test plans. With Optimize Test Scope, you can optimize the scope of the test plans to be created, to avoid redundancies and test as many objects as possible with as little test effort as possible (see Optimize Test Scope).

  3. Select Display Details, to display the executable entities affected, in the lower detail table (Detail ...).

    • Display All Intersections shows the objects of all executable entities, affected.

    • Display Intersection shows the objects of the selected executable entity, affected. See Display TBOM Contents for further information about this display.

The Display Intersection function is triggered using the multi-purpose pushbutton that is initially used for the Display All Intersection by default.

    • BPH Environment opens a window in which you can see which parts of the process structure are assigned to the executable entities affected.

The BPH Environment function is triggered using the multi-purpose pushbutton that is initially used for the Display All Intersection by default.

    • Using   Additional Columns   Display BPH Info  , you can display the scenario, the process, and the process step for each executable entity affected.

    • Using   Additional Columns   Display Statistics  , you can display statistical information for the objects of the executable entities (the total quantity of objects and the number of objects in each classification category).

    • Update refreshes the information in the table about the availability of test cases.
