Red SAP EarlyWatch Alert Sessions Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

The SAP EarlyWatch Alert service in the SAP Solution Manager is an automatic service provided by SAP. SAP EarlyWatch Alert monitors the most important business processes and systems. The SAP EarlyWatch Alert data collectors should be scheduled weekly on all productively used customer systems.

The goals of this service are the following:

  • identify potential problems at an early stage

  • avoid bottlenecks

  • monitor the performance of the customer’s systems

The information provided by SAP EarlyWatch Alert helps SAP support employees to efficiently solve customer messages.

Depending on the criticality of the issues found, an SAP EarlyWatch Alert can be rated green, yellow or red. If an SAP EarlyWatch Alert was rated red (critical), this SAP EarlyWatch Alert is automatically forwarded (if activated) from your SAP Solution Manager to SAP, where SAP analyzes the root cause for the red rating and, if the reason may hinder the customer’s business process, contacts you proactively. The SAP EarlyWatch Alert evaluation shown in the following sections is based on your SAP Business Suite Systems.
