By specifying the planning and reporting level for expected effortin the test plan attributes, you determine the result of your filtering by business process hierarchy nodes. If your planning level is at test plan level, for example, the expected effort can only be aggregated at this level. Below this level, for example at test package level, the expected test effort cannot be broken down further due to missing granularity. As a result, the expected effort for test plans is automatically propagated to test package and test case levels.
