Insert Data Provider |
You use this function and the open dialog to choose a data provider for a report section. The data providers for a report section can be queries or query views. Once you have made your selection, the data provider is automatically inserted into a report section and displayed in the design area. |
Check Data Provider |
With this function, you can check whether a data provider with a static drilldown has been changed since the report was created and apply these changes to the field catalog. To do this, select a data provider in the Field Catalog under Query Fields. In the menu, choose Report -> Check Data Provider. Once the check is completed, only the current fields for the data provider appear in the field catalog. You can drag and drop new fields to the report.
● Note that any fields that no longer exist in the data provider are not automatically removed from the list. If you want to remove these fields, you need to delete them manually. ● As a precautionary measure, a copy of the report is created when you do this. |
Page Setup |
You use this function to set up the page for the report: You can set the page size (such as DIN A4 or letter), the page alignment (portrait or landscape) and the margins. Note that the setting for the page margins applies to reports generated as PDFs only and not to the Web display. Note that you cannot change the page alignment in a report. If you want to have different page alignments in a report, you need to use several Report Web items in BEx Web Application Designer. |
Execute |
You use this function to execute the report in the portal. The report is displayed in the standard Web template for reports. You set the standard Web template for reports in Customizing, by choosing SAP NetWeaver → Business Intelligence → Reporting-Relevant Settings → BEx Web → Set Standard Web Templates → Enterprise Report. |
