This procedure helps you to add new customized functions to the Technical Monitoring and Alerting infrastructure. You implement Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) defined by SAP to adapt software to specific requirements.

Prerequisites

You have implemented the BAdI named BADI_ALERT_REACTION.

Procedure

For a Template

  1. Choose Expert Mode.

  2. Navigate to the SAP or custom template.

  3. Choose Edit.

  4. Navigate to Template Settings tab page.

  5. In the Third-Party Components drop-down list, select Active.

  6. In the Third-Party Components tab page, choose Add.

  7. Add the third party connector.

  8. If you want to activate the BAdIs for specific work modes, in the Work-Mode-Specific Template Settings screen area, select the work mode.

For an Alert

  1. Choose Expert Mode.

  2. Navigate to the SAP or custom template.

  3. Choose Edit.

  4. Navigate to   Alerts   Third-Party Components  .

  5. In the Third-Party Components drop-down list, select Active.

  6. Choose Add.

  7. Add the third party connector.

  8. If you want to activate the third party component for specific work modes, in the Work-Mode-Specific Alert Settings screen area, select the work mode.
