This part of SAP Library gives you an overview of the changes and new features in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP05 since SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP01.

This information is provided as release notes, which are structured by Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes. The following table gives you an overview of new, enhanced and deleted functions in the Solution Documentation Process process.

Create referencing check items

New

You can use referencing check items. Referencing check items derive the valuation of a structure node from the valuation of the superordinate structure node. You can use them, for example, for manual process steps that are performed outside the system. For example, placing an invoice in an envelope and sending it could be derived from the business process Create Invoice.

Analysis results

Enhanced

To display how the rating of nodes is calculated, you can display a legend. Using a simulation, you can visualize the valuation function of the analysis. You can see how the rating of a structure node changes if the ratings of subordinate structure nodes change.

Results in Analysis Structure

Display object usage

New

Under Settings, you can show additional columns for the object types transaction, report and function module (RFC). In this way, you can, for example, display the assignment of the objects to their respective application components.

Display Object Usage

Display an overview of the analysis results as a graphic

New

You can display the results of an analysis, summarized in a table, as a graphic for presentation purposes. The table displays the number of structure objects for each structure object type, as well as the number and proportion structure objects that are actively used.

Analysis report

Enhanced

You can optionally also display descriptive SQL check steps in the analysis report.

Adjust Structure and Appearance of an Analysis Report

Table of analyses of an analysis project

Enhanced

You can rename analyses.

Table of Analyses of an Analysis Project

Compare analyses

New

By comparing two analyses, you can see at a glance whether, for example, there have been changes in the analysis results from one period to the next. You can analyze where and why differences have occurred.

Edit logical components of an analysis project

New

You can add additional logical components to an analysis project, or delete or replace existing logical components. For example, you have uploaded an analysis project and assigned the appropriate logical components in the target system to the logical components. You later realize that the assignment you made when creating the analysis project was not correct.

Content Interface

Enhanced

You can:

  • Override the assignment of product and product version, if necessary, by assigning a logical component that was created for another product. You can branch to the created analysis project or created and start an analysis based on the uploaded analysis project.

  • Combine multiple analysis projects when uploading. In addition to the analysis projects, you can combine a file with check rules with the analysis projects. If, for example, you combine two products in an analysis project, you do not need to create separate analysis projects and perform separate analyses, but instead receive a complete overview.

Copying an analysis project and updating it with data from a solution or an SAP Solution Manager project

Enhanced

If you copy an analysis project, you can update it using a SAP Solution Manager project (or solution) other than the one underlying the analysis project. This could be, for example, an analysis project that you have uploaded from a reference SAP Solution Manager system.
