Creating SolutionsYou want to create a new Solution.
When you create a new solution in the SAP Solution Manager, you are prompted for a name and a customer number.

1. Start the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.
You go to the
overview of active solutions (see
Overview of Active
Solutions).

Choose Back, to display the overview from a solution.
2. Choose the Create pushbutton.
3. Enter the required data.
Field input

Meaning |
Name of the solution landscape |
Choose a name for your solution, e.g. your main business processes or branch offices. |
Customer number |
The system creates the solution landscape, according to the customer and installation numbers of the „central administration system“ of the system landscape, if there is one. If you do not use a central administration system, you can also enter the data of the current system. This is proposed by the system. |
Original language |
Language in which the solution is entered. |
4. Choose Next.
The system creates your new solution with a solution ID, and goes to the Operations Setup area in the Solution Landscape tab.

You can
display all the solution IDs in your solution, in a table. Choose Goto → Technical Settings
in the
Solution
Overview.
You can now assign the systems and business processes which you want to monitor and manage, to your solution.
You can go to the following transactions from the Solution Landscape tab:
● Solution Manager system landscape (transaction SMSY)
○ Edit the system landscape
○ Define RFC connections
● Solution Directory
○ Specify solution scope (systems and business processes)
○ Make solution settings
● Project requirement analysis
○ Overview of projects assigned to the solution
● Service connections for the systems in your solution
