Working with the Personal Object Worklist
The Personal Object Worklist (POWL), which is located in the content area of the SAP NetWeaver Portal and is also available in the SAP NetWeaver Business Client, is a role-based worklist that contains business objects from your work area. For purchasers with the Category Manager
(/SRMSMC/CATEGORY_MANAGER
) role, for example, SAP Supplier Lifecycle Management offers predefined worklists that display all questionnaires, all qualifications, all qualification responses, all purchasing categories, and all objects belonging to a supplier.
Note
The POWL is only available on the buy side, not on the sell side.
From the POWL, you click an object to open it in the corresponding application. You can then edit objects such as questionnaires, purchasing categories, or suppliers.
Queries define what is displayed in the worklist. SAP delivers predefined queries that you can use. You can adapt these queries or define new queries. You can also adapt the layout of the worklist.
Note
When you open a POWL, only the query that is at the top of the list of Active Queries
is automatically refreshed and reflects the current number of documents existing in the system. For all other queries listed, you must click the link to refresh the query. You must also refresh the POWL manually after changing a document listed in the POWL, otherwise the changes are not immediately visible.
The selection criteria that are available for a query depend on the objects that you want to work with. For example, the criteria available for a supplier qualification worklist are different from the criteria available for a purchasing categories worklist.
To refine the selection of objects displayed in a worklist temporarily, specify additional selection criteria in the Quick Criteria Maintenance
and click Apply
. To display the full list of objects again, click Clear
and Apply
.
To change queries permanently, you can adapt existing queries or define new queries.
If the criteria in the Quick Criteria Maintenance
are not sufficient for you, click Change Query
. Here you find more criteria that allow you to further limit the selection of objects displayed in your worklist. You can also hide criteria from the Quick Criteria Maintenance
. To add or hide criteria, do the following:
On the Change Query '<Name of Query>' (Object Type: <Name of Object Type>)
screen, click Criteria Personalization
.
Select or deselect the search criteria as required and apply your changes.
The changes that you apply to the query are permanent until you change the query again and apply the changes.
Note
If you have restricted your worklist using a search criterion and then hide this criterion under Criteria Personalization
, this results in a restricted worklist. The restriction is not indicated by any entries you can see in the Quick Criteria Maintenance
but by the changes made to the query. You have to click Change Query
again to see the value restricting the selection of objects for the worklist.
You can define new queries based on your personal requirements. You can use an existing query as a template when creating the new query. You also can select a category for your query. By doing this, you determine where on the screen your query is displayed. Under , you can either choose a tab strip layout or a matrix layout. Depending on what you have chosen, the category indicates either of the following:
On which tab your query is displayed
In which line under Active Queries
your query is displayed
To delete a query, do the following:
Click Personalize
and choose the Personalize View
tab. You have the following options:
If the query is listed under Available Queries
, delete it.
If the query is listed under Active Queries
, select it and click Remove
. The query is moved to Available Queries
, where you can delete it.
Apply your changes.
To change the layout of your worklist, choose Settings
. Here you can, for example, do the following:
Change the number of rows displayed
Include or exclude columns
Define which columns are relevant for the sorting of the list
To filter the objects displayed in your worklist, do the following:
Click Filter
.
An additional line is inserted at the top of your POWL.
Enter the data you want to use as a selection criterion for the worklist.
To display the complete worklist again, click Delete Filter
.
