Prerequisites

General Prerequisites

You can use the dashboards provided by SAP or create your own dashboards.

To display the provided Xcelsius Dashboards, you require Adobe Flash Player Version 9. Note also the license terms for SAP BusinessObjects.

To create your own dashboards, you require SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 (SP03.1). Take note of the corresponding license terms.

SAP NetWeaver BW

You have to activate the dashboards that you want to use.

You also need to set up the authorization check for the corresponding queries.

Activate corresponding dashboards and the associated queries in BI Content Activation Workbench (transaction BSANLY_BI_ACTIVATION) or in the SAP NetWeaver BW system in Data Warehousing Workbench (transaction RSOR).

In the BW system, proceed as follows:

  1. Call transaction RSOR (Data Warehousing Workbench).

  2. Choose BI Content on the left-hand screen area.

  3. Click More Types and then Xcelsius Dashboard (XCLS) and then double-click Select Objects. Select the corresponding reports in the dialog window and choose Transfer Selections.

    To be able to work with the BI Content objects, you have to transfer them from the delivery version (D version) to the active version (A version), that is, you have to activate the BI Content. See Copying BI Content to the Active Version and Troubleshooting (Content Activation).

Technical Requirements

You are using and have a license for the following products:

  • SAP NetWeaver 7.0, enhancement package 2 (SP04) or higher

  • SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Content Add-On 5 or higher

  • Extension for SAP NetWeaver 7.02 BI Content Add-On 5 or higher

  • SAP GUI 7.10

  • SAP NetWeaver Portal or SAP NetWeaver Business Client

  • Adobe Flash Player version 9 or higher

  • SAP Business Suite 7 Innovations 2010

  • SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 (SP03, FP1) or higher (to create your own dashboards)
