General Prerequisites

You can use the Crystal Reports provided by SAP or create your own reports.

To display the Crystal Reports provided, you require SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 (SP02) and SAP BusinessObjects Integration for SAP XI 3.1 (SP02). Take note of the corresponding license terms.

To create your own Crystal Reports, you require Crystal Reports 2008 V1 (SP02). Take note of the corresponding license terms.

SAP NetWeaver BW

Activate Reports

You have to activate the Crystal Reports that you want to use.

You also need to set up the authorization check for the corresponding queries.

Activate corresponding Crystal Reports and the associated queries in BI Content Activation Workbench (transaction BSANLY_BI_ACTIVATION) or in the BW system in Data Warehousing Workbench (transaction RSOR).

Publish Reports

Publish the reports on SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Server (BOE). You publish the reports in the BW system in Content Administration Workbench (transaction /Crystal/RPTADMIN).

Import Reports

Crystal Reports are saved in a BW role. The system administrator has to replicate or import this role using BusinessObjects Enterprise Central Management Console (CMC) to SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Server (BOE).
