You can carry out replenishment planning (one-step replenishment) using two different transactions:

  • Classic planning (report RWRPLPRO, transaction WRP1)

  • Rapid planning (report RWRPLRRP, transaction WRP1R)

From the general initial menu of the retailing system, choose Start of the navigation path Sales Next navigation step Replenishment Next navigation step Replenishment Planning End of the navigation path or Start of the navigation path Rapid Replenishment Planning End of the navigation path.

Rapid Replenishment Planning

In rapid replenishment planning, the system uses an optimized method for determining the requirement elements (stock, forecasts, receipts/issues) and calculating the requirement quantity. It enables - depending on the database system used, and the concrete attributes of the planning run - a significant runtime saving in comparison with classic planning. Rapid replenishment planning offers the following differences in relation to classic replenishment planning:

  • Replenishment only for sites (not for external customers)

  • Forecasts using only the functions of materials management (not using functions of flexible planning)

  • Determination of receipts and issues not using available-to-promise (ATP), but instead by using ATP control (also used for classic planning) with consideration of the following requirement elements:

    Orders (vendor orders and stock transport orders, returns) as receipts and issues

    Order confirmations (vendor orders and stock transport orders) as receipts

    Purchase requisitions (vendor requisitions and stock transport requisitions) as receipts and issues

  • The setting for consideration of the replenishment lead time (RLT) in ATP Customizing has no influence on the determination of the receipts/issues. The receipts and issues are always considered up to End of Replenishment Lead Time.

  • Extended options for determination of requirement elements and requirement calculation, using new Business Add-Ins. The existing BAdIs and user exits for replenishment planning can also be used.

  • Assignment of a number for each planning run in a dialog, also without generation of follow-on documents
