Agent Determination The functions described below are used to determine agents for workflows in the
Defense Forces & Public Security
component.
The following types of agent determination are available:
Regarding table HRP1959 with special rule (can be specified explicitly as agent determination)
Regarding personnel categories with special task (can be specified explicitly as agent determination)
Regarding a special task for clearing logic (can be specified only implicitly as agent determination)
In this case, the workflow always calls rule AC11200006.This rule has the following input parameters:
Force Element
Standard Rule (object type AC)
Clearing Task (object type TS)
The clearing task is defined below.
The standard rule must always be a rule of type
Responsibilities
with the following container values:
OWNER_NATION (Country Key)
SERVICE_ID (Organizational Area)
FORCE_LEVEL (Structure Type)
LEVEL_GROUP (Structure Level)
BRANCH_ID (Branch)
CASE_TYPE (Usage Type)
AGENCY (Agency)
Certain values are defined in table HRP1950 for the force element or the associated HR object ID. You can define certain responsibilities (positions) for any combinations of these values. These responsibilities are stored in a responsibility rule.
You can therefore define any number of responsibilities for each responsibility rule. You define a responsibility to specify for which container element values (in this case, values for table HRP1950) processing is to be carried out by the same users. You assign
Organizational Management
objects (positions, persons, users) to a responsibility.
If the system cannot find a valid agent in the responsibility rule, the clearing logic is used (see below).
In this case, the workflow calls rule AC11200001 (for BUS1221) and rule AC11200001 or the background activity TS11200190 (for BUS1239).This rule has the following input parameters:
Force Element
Standard Task (object type TS)
Clearing Task (object type TS)
The clearing task is defined below.
The standard task must contain certain relationships; you can assign the agents responsible implicitly in the
Structures Workbench
.
When the system determines agents, it checks each of the force element’s positions to see whether it is assigned to a workflow task of type TS (standard task that is not integrated in the workflow process and therefore not to be executed). The object type is always WF_TASK.DISPLAY. Any number of positions can be linked to this task. The system uses the position that is also maintained in the
Structures Workbench
as authorized personnel (intersection).
If the system cannot find an agent, it searches (as described above) for the next possible agent in the higher-level structure.
The force element and positions must have the status
Active
.
If the system cannot find an agent in this way, the clearing logic is used (see below).
If errors occur in the case of rule AC11200001 or AC11200006, this task is called. It is a standard task that is not integrated in the workflow process, which means it is not to be executed. The object type is always WF_TASK.DISPLAY.
If the intended agent determination procedure is not successful, the work item is forwarded to all the users or position holders assigned to this special task. They can then forward the work item to the correct agent.
The agent assignment is carried out directly for these special standard tasks. Examples of agent types include organizational unit, position, and user.
The system reports an error (information to the administrator) only if it cannot find a suitable agent by using the clearing logic either.
