 Functions for the Location Code

Use

The following display and editing options are available for using the location code .

Features

The Geolocation Data application, with the transactions /ISDFPS/GEOLOC1 (edit mode) and /ISDFPS/GEOLOC2 (display mode), is available for displaying and editing geolocation data.

Activities

Display

If geolocation data is already available in the system, it can be displayed in a table. You can use filter criteria to successively reduce the number of hits.

  1. Start the Geolocation Data application.

  2. Enter the required filter criteria.

Additional functions

The functions for import, export, and manual changes correspond to those for the reportable item code . You also have the option of exporting or importing in XML format (instead of text format).

Note Note

When you perform an XML import for the first time, the outbound data must exist in the corresponding XML format. First perform a test export of data that already exists in the system (if there is no data in the system, create a test data record). Transfer the format of the exported XML file for the outbound data of your import XML file.

End of the note.

A file containing location codes that is to be imported must match the data structure of the location code in the Allied Deployment and Movement System (ADAMS) and have required tab separation.

The data to be imported is stored in table /ISDFPS/GEOLOC.

Assignments

Geolocation data is assigned to a force element on the relevant Stationing tab page.
