Use

This report enables you to replace service providers already defined with infotype 1954 for one or more force elements within the current reference period with a new service provider. When doing so, you can assign all force elements that receive a specific service from a specific service provider, a different provider of this service by performing a mass change for a specific period. The system creates planned delimitation and deletion processes that correspond to the current data (see Delimiting/Deleting with Status Change ).

Prerequisites

You have familiarized yourself with infotypes 1953 ( Service Offer ) and 1954 ( Service Provider ).

The following selection parameters and processing options are available:

Generic Selection Parameters

Service

Specify the service for which you want to select a new service provider.

Replacement Start / Replacement End

Specify the period for which the service received is to be provided by the new service provider.

For information about how the system responds to time periods, see the example below.

Previous Service Provider

Enter the current provider of the selected service.

New Service Provider

Specify the new service provider.

Test Run

Specify whether you want to perform a test run.

Activities

Choose the Replacement of Service Providers application (transaction /ISDFPS/MCHG_SRV_USE).

Select the required organizational measure if necessary.

Enter the required selection values and processing options.

Choose Execute.

Example

In this example, force element FE 2 currently receives a service from force element FE 1 in a specific period.

If the new service period you specified does not correspond exactly to the current service period, the system proceeds as follows:

Case A: If the new service period specified is within the current service period, the system uses the specified period as the actual new service period.

Case B: If the new service period starts before the new service period specified, the system uses the start of the current service period as the start date for the actual new service period.

Case C: If the new service period specified ends after the current service period, the system uses the end of the current service period as the end date for the actual new service period.

Case D: If the current service period is within the new service period specified, the system uses the current service period as the new service period.
