Measurement Documents in Distributed Systems In a distributed system landscape, it is possible to create, change, and cancel measurement documents for technical objects (functional location and equipment) in both the central and a decentralized system, if you have change authorization .
You can define measuring points for the technical objects and specify transfer relationships between the measuring points, whereby you can choose between interval documents and single documents. The transfer relationship can be from top to bottom or from bottom to top.
It is also possible to specify a validity in the past. When measurement documents are created, the system forms a history of measurement recording and transfer of the measurement documents within an object structure.
You can make consecutive entries and subsequent entries. You can also cancel measurement documents.
After you have already created measurement documents, you can relocate the technical object from the central system to a decentralized system. You can completely relocate a technical object, or you relocate only a substructure after you have structured it in the central system. You can then create and cancel other documents in the decentralized system.
If you have relocated the technical object back to the central system, you can proceed with measurement recording as before.
You can relocate between the systems and create and cancel measurement documents as often as required. The complete object does not have to be relocated. It is also possible to transfer only the change authorization between the systems (explicit transfer of change authorization). Time intervals thus occur, in which the change authorization is sometimes in one system and sometimes in the other. For example, this can be the case if the creation of the installation and dismantling of an object failed in the central system such that the change authorization for creating the documents must temporarily be returned to the central system.
If measurement documents are created or canceled in the central system for a period that is before the current period after the change authorization was transferred to the decentralized system, these documents are included in the decentralized system again. Documents that were created in the decentralized system and are not known in the central system are thus taken into account.
In all cases, after the measurement documents are created or changed, the other system is informed of the change via PDR distribution.
In Customizing, you can specify how many days after the creation of a measurement document this document is to be archived in the central system. In Customizing for

(View /ISDFPS/V_CP2CMD). The period specified here also states for how long it is possible to retroactively create measurement documents. If a preceding measurement document has already been archived after this period has expired, you can no longer create a directly subsequent measurement document.
