  Material Planning Object View

Definition

A group of several material planning objects (MPOs) as a hierarchical structure for viewing purposes

Use

You can use the MPO view to group MPOs for viewing purposes. From a procedural perspective, the view node is a project-related product structure.

Example Example

For example, if a new product is specified, developed, or procured, all the MPOs that are part of the project are grouped below this node.

End of the example.

In contrast to the material container, the MPO view is not used in material planning and material management processes.

Structure

Technically, the MPO view is implemented as an iPPE node of type S_DFMPOV.

You can make the following assignments on the tab pages in the application Authorized Materials and Material Packages :

  • Downwards Relationship tab page

On this tab page, you create bundles of several MPOs.

  • Upwards Relationship tab page

On this tab page, you can define relationships to other view nodes.

Integration

An MPO view comprises several MPOs and can be assigned to other view nodes.
