 Assign an Inbound Delivery to a Shipment

Prerequisites

You have maintained the transportation relevance for the delivery type and the delivery item types in Customizing for Logistics Execution, under Start of the navigation path Transport Next navigation step Shipments Next navigation step Maintain transportation relevance End of the navigation path .

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Logistics Execution Next navigation step Inbound Next navigation step Process Next navigation step Goods Receipt Automotive Next navigation step BORGR - Goods Receipt Dialog. End of the navigation path

  1. There are two options for how to proceed. The first option is:

  1. Open the second view of the navigation tree.

  2. In the shuffler, select the object shipment .

  3. Assign the inbound delivery to the shipment using Drag&Drop.

The second option is:

  1. Double-click the shipment in the navigation tree (depending on the Customizing settings).

  2. Either

  1. select the inbound delivery in the navigation tree and drag and drop it on the shipment on the right-hand side of the screen

  2. enter the number of the inbound delivery in the Delivery field.

Result

The inbound delivery appears under Shipments in the navigation tree and no longer under Inbound deliveries without assignment .

The shipment status changes to Registered if the status of the inbound delivery is In plant and you have made the appropriate settings in Customizing.
