 Forwarding Documents

Use

If a maintenance facility cannot or should not process an assigned maintenance notification or assigned maintenance order itself, it can forward this notification or order to another responsible work center, if necessary across system boundaries.

Integration

You must define maintenance relationships for the force elements before the maintenance documents can be forwarded.

Prerequisites

The system evaluates the maintenance relationships defined for the force elements so that maintenance documents can be forwarded.

Features

In the user interface for notification and order processing, you can have the system determine and assign a work center responsible for the maintenance by selecting a suitable, damage type-specific maintenance relationship. The system evaluates the maintenance relationships between the force element in question and the force elements that are responsible for maintenance tasks. You can, for example, select a work center that is responsible for the entire organizational structure or the organizational structure starting from the current work center. By choosing the Forward pushbutton, you can determine which responsible work center is closest to the current responsible work center in the organizational structure according to the maintenance relationships maintained.

The force element that is determined is used to determine a new responsible work center, which is copied to the document header. The document is then included in the worklist of the new responsible work center.

The function is also available across system boundaries, which means that a document from a decentralized system can be forwarded to a force element in the central system, and vice versa.
