 Creating and Copying Storage Types

Use

From the Central Maintenance Dialog for the Warehouse Structure application, you can branch directly to the screen for creating a storage type for the warehouse number and copy an existing storage type in the application.

Procedure

Create Storage Type

  1. Select a warehouse number.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Storage Type Next navigation step Create Storage Type with Template End of the navigation path .

  3. Enter the number and name of the storage type that you want to create.

    • Force Element tab page under Template From

      As a template, you can select a storage type already assigned to a specific force element and warehouse number.

    • Customizing tab page under Template From

      From Customizing, you can select a template for a warehouse number and storage type combination.

  4. Choose Copy Template .

    The system creates the new storage type with the data from the selected template.

Copy Storage Type

  1. Select the storage type that you want to copy.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Storage Type Next navigation step Copy Storage Type End of the navigation path .

  3. Enter the number of the new storage type and a name.

  4. Choose Copy Template .

    The new storage type is displayed in the Central Maintenance Dialog for the Warehouse Structure application.
