Protected Species Management (PSM) is a function that has been enhanced for the article master textile composition data, and allows you to enhance the composition data of articles with details of endangered species identity. You can define PSM codes and assign priorities for a fiber code. After you have defined and assigned PSM codes and priorities, you must assign a species code, scientific name, and PSM code to the fiber.
You have activated the following switches:
Select the Textile Composition Maintenance Active checkbox in the Customizing activity Activate Textile Composition Function
under .
SFSW_PSM_01
of the business function ISR_RETAIL_PSM
.
In SAP ERP 6 enhancement package 7 support pack 08, you can also assign a country code to a fiber code using the Customizing activity Assign Species Code, Scientific Name, and PSM Code to Fiber Codes
under . When you create an article and maintain the PSM related data in the textile composition, the system allows you to edit the country code that is copied from the customizing activity. You can edit the country code in Additional Data > Textile Composition
tab of the article master.
When you create an article in the article master, the system proposes the PSM code for a fiber code (attached to the article) according to the scientific name defined for the fiber code in the Customizing activity Assign Species Code, Scientific Name, and PSM Code to Fiber Codes
under .
You can print the textile composition of the selected fiber by selecting the Print
checkbox in the article master. It is mandatory to print the textile composition of the fiber code with the PSM code of the highest priority. If you do not select the Print
checkbox for a fiber code with the PSM code of the highest priority, the system changes the alert symbol on the Textile Component
tab to yellow.
