Retail (EA-RET)

You can use this business function to transfer offers from SAP Promotion Management for Retail (PMR) to SAP ERP and benefit from error resolution functionality in the Postprocessing Office (PPO).

Integration

All non-expired offers in SAP PMR that have previously been transferred to SAP ERP must be transferred again after implementing these enhancements.

You will notice the following changes to the user interface after implementing these enhancements:

  • The following reports and logs have been added to the SAP Easy Access Menu under Logistics -> Retailing -> Distributed Retailing -> Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization -> Inbound -> Offer Bulk Replication Request:

    • Offer Bulk Replication Request Log (WPM_OFR_INTG_LOG)

    • Edit Postprocessing Offer (WPM_OTM_PPO2)

    • Display Postprocessing Offer (WPM_OTM_PPO3)

    • Mass Offer Error Resolution from PPO (WPM_PPO_MASSCORRECT)

  • The Blocking Reason field has been added to the Fast Entry screen for retail promotions (transactions WAK1, WAK2 and WAK3). This field contains a blocking reason explaining how a deletion of an article or unit of measure in SAP PMR imposes a consistency constraint on a promotional line item in SAP ERP.

  • The Execute Changes and Activate buttons have been added to the Postprocessing Desktop – Edit Order: Details screen.

  • Links are provided to offers and promotions in SAP PMR related to orders within the Postprocessing Desktop – Edit Order: Details screen.

You will also notice the following changes to Customizing for Logistics – General under Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization:

  • A new Inbound -> Business Add-Ins subnode has been added containing the following BAdI implementations:

  • Implementation: Update Sales Quantities in WALE

  • Implementation: Update Store Planned Sales Quantities Using the Call Store

Features

The following new functionality is available:

  • Subsequent processing execution control

You can now ensure prevention of subsequent processing execution while revoking offers in SAP PMR.

You can also perform changes to offers even after subsequent processing has begun or after the start date of the offer has passed.

  • Enhanced offer integration scenarios

You can now see many scenarios from offers in SAP PMR involving savings conditional on spending amounts integrated into bonus buys in SAP ERP. You can also further extend your own spending scenarios in Customizing for Logistics – General by choosing Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization -> Inbound -> Business Add-Ins -> BAdI: Map Offer to Bonus Buy.

You can also benefit from enhanced integration of transaction-level discounts and retail offer incentives

For more information on which scenarios are supported in SP02, consult SAP Note 1654397.

  • SAP Forecasting and Replenishment (SAP F&R)

You can now experience enhanced integration with SAP F&R for subsequent processing in Customizing for Logistics – General by choosing the following BAdI implementations:

    • Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization -> Inbound -> Business Add-Ins -> Implementation: Update Sales Quantities in WALE

    • Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization -> Inbound -> Business Add-Ins -> Implementation: Update Store Planned Sales Quantities Using the Call Store

  • Postprocessing Office (PPO)

You can now benefit from enhanced error resolution through comprehensive reporting using the Postprocessing Office (PPO).

    • Failed transfer notification

The PPO application now displays all failed attempts to transfer offers from SAP PMR. Detailed and comprehensive messages describe the source of the failure to help you diagnose and correct integration problems.

    • Automated conflict resolution

You can now use the PPO application to automatically deactivate the prices, discounts or bonus buys related to a failed offer transfer in order to correct and transfer the offer successfully. Note that this feature is only possible when it is technically feasible for the PPO application to correct common errors.

You can also use the PPO application to activate the prices, discounts or bonus buys related to an offer following a successful conflict resolution.

    • Mass offer conflict resolution

You can now use a new report to find and correct all PPO entries in one bulk request. You can optionally instruct the system to subsequently activate prices for offers that have been freed of all conflicts.
