You can use this business function to perform the already available outbound and inbound delivery processing in SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure, now with SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure deployed as an optional add-on for SAP ERP.

Additionally, this business function supports radio frequency identification (RFID) for several logistic execution actions in a centralized Warehouse Management (WM) system that uses handling units or storage units.

Finally, this business function synchronizes the date and time of a delivery document between SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure and SAP ERP when SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure is not deployed as an optional add-on for SAP ERP.

Integration

You can use this business function in the Inbound Processing and Receipt Confirmation business process as well as in the Outbound Processing Without WM business process.

You have installed and configured SAP ERP as well as SAP Auto-ID infrastructure.

You have a license to use SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure 7.1.

Deployment Options

  • If SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure is not deployed as an optional add-on for SAP ERP, you must activate the BAdI implementation ABI_BADI_V56K_AIIFLX Implementation: Delivery Date/Time Synchronization (Flexible Del.Proc.) in Customizing for SAP ERP. If you want to use the Secure Tracking and Tracing process, you also have to activate the LOG_LE_INTEGRATION business function to get the correct date and time.

  • If SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure is deployed as an optional add-on for SAP ERP, you must either activate the BAdI implementation ABI_BADI_V56K_AII71 Implementation: Outbound ASN Enrichment with Tags from SAP AII or ABI_BADI_V56K_AIIECN Implementation: Outbound ASN Enrichment from and Triggering ECN in SAP AII in Customizing for SAP ERP to be able to use the outbound process and the delivery date time stamp synchronization.

  • If you want to use the default implementation of the LE_WM_SE_HUMOVE Business Add-In for Integration of SAP AII Business Add-In (BAdI), independent from your deployment, you must have already defined resource types and resource element types in Customizing for SAP ERP under Start of the navigation path Logistics Execution Next navigation step Task and Resource Management Next navigation step Master Data Next navigation step Resource Management End of the navigation path.

Integration of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure Inbound or Outbound Delivery with SAP ERP Inbound or Outbound Delivery

  • During the outbound processing, SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure enriches the outbound delivery IDoc in SAP ERP with serialization data from SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure. Furthermore, SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure synchronizes the goods issue date on delivery documents between SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure and SAP ERP.

  • During goods issue processing, SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure is capable of posting goods issue of serialized data in SAP ERP.

  • During inbound processing and receipt confirmation, SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure creates the expected serialized ID.

  • During goods receipt processing, SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure is capable of posting goods receipt of serialized data in SAP ERP.

Integration of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure with Warehouse Management (WM) in SAP ERP for Handling Unit Movement

You can use RFIDs in warehouses to automate the confirmation of a transfer order when a pallet is picked up from or put away into a storage bin by a forklift. You can use the HandlingUnitERPLogisticsAreaChangeRequestConfirmation_In enterprise service to determine and confirm the transfer order. The RFID tags are attached to the pallets and the storage bins in a warehouse, and the forklift carries the RFID device. The RFID device sends the handling unit or storage unit tag ID, storage bin tag ID, and the movement direction (stock withdrawal or stock replacement) to SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure in the form of an XML message. SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure forwards this information to SAP ERP. SAP ERP receives this information using the HandlingUnitERPLogisticsAreaChangeRequestConfirmation inbound operation. This operation finds or creates the corresponding transfer order and confirms it.

SAP ERP passes the time zone information to SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure during inbound processing, receipt confirmation, and outbound processing.
