Copy of Product Assembly Header with Change Number

This feature enables you to copy an assembly header to a new assembly header by using an active change number. The system assigns the assembly items of the original assembly header to the new assembly header as follows:

  • If the assembly item of the original assembly header has the same change number as the active change number, the assembly item is directly assigned to the new assembly header.

  • If the assembly item of the original assembly header has a change number that is different from the active change number, the assembly item with the active change number is assigned to the new assembly header.

In addition, when the active change number is different from the change states of the assembly item that are assigned to the original assembly header, you can use a Business Add-In to do the following:

  • Decide which change state of the assembly item is to be copied to the new assembly item

  • Assign the new assembly item with the active change number to the new assembly header
