 Business Function Engineering Record Development in PLM Web UI

 

With this business function, you can activate the following new features for the Engineering Record on the PLM Web UI:

  • Global Process Route Templates

    You can transport global process route templates for Engineering Records between systems and clients in your system landscape via Customizing requests.

  • Agent Mapping

    You can map agents maintained in your global process route templates from other systems and clients (Source Agent) to agents in your current system and client (Target Agent).

  • Agent Determination

    You can manually or automatically determine the agents for tasks in your process routes via the Team Definition tab in the engineering record.

  • Decision Activities

    You can define and group decisions, and assign a group of decisions to a process route activity.

  • Background Activities with Custom Services

    You can define services to automate certain processes and include them into the approval process.

  • Easy Start of the Approval Process

    You can start the approval process with the Start Approval button. Based on predefined rules, the system can then move the engineering record to the appropriate status and load the corresponding approval steps

  • Easy Task Completion in the Application

    You can assign decisions to process route activities after defining them, and complete approval steps directly from the engineering record using the Save and Complete button.

  • Rule-Based Template Determination for Process Routes

    You can specify how the system automatically loads process route templates, according to rules you defined previously.

  • Rule-Based Status Determination

    You can set up rules to control the path of the approval in the status network for engineering records.
