You can use this to represent restrictions on the daily availability of deposits in your system by means of notice periods and notice lock periods. If a customer wants to withdraw more than the special interest allowance amount and the withdrawal allowance amount without incurring interest penalty, then notice is required for a sufficient amount.
Payment transactions
If there is an account in the payment operation that has the
Amount Notice
feature, and if the transaction type has been set up accordingly, the system checks for existing allowances, their update, and if necessary, the calculation of interest penalty.
The interest penalty is either posted immediately or flagged for the balancing depending on the settings in the account. If the posting is a credit posting, and if the
Notice Lock Period
indicator has been set in the transaction type, the item is flagged as being relevant for the notice lock period.
If you have defined a minimum deposit on the account, and activated the
Limits
feature, the system checks the limit, and checks to see if the minimum deposit has been reached.
The amount notice is available as a feature for the product on which the account is based. You have entered the relevant settings in Customizing under
When you maintain the transaction types (choose
Post Interest Penalty
indicator for payment operations that are to lead to a utilization of the allowances.
You have set the
Notice Lock Period
indicator for transaction types that are to be transferred to the notice management when there is a credit memo. The notice management calculates how long this credit must not be withdrawn as an amount that is relevant to the notice lock period.
When the amount is calculated for which notice can be given, the system checks on the notice receipt date to see if there are any items affected by the notice lock. The amount of these items is deducted from the account balance, and cannot be withdrawn before the notice lock period is over unless the posting is forced.
A notice lock period is the period where you cannot give notice for a deposit payment.
Notice periods describe the relationship between the notice receipt date and the notice date (withdrawal period start).
The notice receipt date, not the entry date, is important for the start of the notice period. The notice date (also
Notice To
date) is the withdrawal period start, and thus the date on which the notice amount can be withdrawn without incurring interest penalty. The notice date (withdrawal period start), therefore, must be on or after the date of the notice receipt plus the agreed notice period. You can enter settings in Customizing for special notice reasons so that a notice period is ignored. In addition, you can choose to suppress the notice period when you create or change an amount notice.
In this situation, the notice date (withdrawal period start) is unrestricted, meaning that notice can be given on any day, and not just at the end of the quarter.
The withdrawal period start of an amount notice is the same as the notice date. The end of the withdrawal period is the notice date (withdrawal period start) plus the withdrawal period. Once the withdrawal period has expired, the amount notice is no longer valid. The amount notice becomes invalid after a certain time has expired, or once the customer has utilized the amount for which notice was given.
When you create a notice in the system, the maximum available amount is checked. This is calculated by subtracting the items that are relevant to the lock period, active notices, and the minimum deposit from the account balance. The minimum deposit is taken into account only for partial amount notice. In Customizing you can specify whether the external limit and the due forward orders/planned items for the withdrawal period start are also to be taken into account.
If the notice amount is more than the available amount, the system issues a message. You can force the creation of the amount notice.
In Customizing under
you can specify whether the system is to include forward orders and planned items (separated into debit and credit) as well as the external limit in the calculation of the available amount In the partial amount notice and the full amount notice without account closure, you can create the related forward order in the
Amount Notice
group box, and then display and change it after the creation, if required.
You can only save the amount notice and the forward order when you make a change on the account. You can no longer save in the
Amount Notice
group box.
The release takes place (if set up) for the amount notice and the forward order at the same time.
These functions are provided for processing the account on the
