 Mass Change of Maintenance Documents


On the SAP Web UI for Plant Maintenance, you can use this function in personal object worklists (POWLs) to make mass changes to data in maintenance orders, order operations, notifications, maintenance plans, and maintenance items.

Additional Details

In the Order List, the Notification List, the Maintenance Plan and Maintenance Item List, and the Order and Operation List, you can select one or more maintenance documents and carry out mass data changes. On the popup Mass Change you can specify which fields and field values you want to change for all selected documents. You can save your selection as a variant. After carrying out the mass change, the new table column Changed indicates which maintenance documents were able to be changed successfully.

You can use the following Business Add-Ins to enhance the mass change function for maintenance plans by adding customer-specific fields or implementing your own customer-specific logic:

  • BAdI: Mass Change of Maintenance Plan Header Data (MPLAN_HEADER_MASS_CHANGE)

  • BAdI: Mass Change of Maintenance Items (MPLAN_ITEM_MASS_CHANGE)

Effects on Existing Data

To enable the mass data change, the SAP Web UI for Plant Maintenance has been enhanced by the pushbutton Mass Change and the new table column Changed in the following personal object worklists (POWLs):

  • Notification List

  • Maintenance Plan and Maintenance Item List

  • Order and Operation List
