Depending on which industry component you are using, one of the following business functions is a prerequisite:

  • SAP for Telecommunications: Telco: Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable 5 (TEL_CA_5)

  • Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA): Contract Accounts A/R and A/P, 05 (FICAX_CI_5)

  • SAP Utilities: Utilities, Contract Accounts A/R and A/P 3 (ISU_CA_3)

  • SAP Media: Contract Accounts A/R and A/P 5 (MED_CA_5)

  • PSCD Collections Management 4

    (PSCD_COLLECTIONS_MANAGEMENT_4)

Incompatible Business Function

None

You can use this business function to integrate Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA) and Sales and Distribution (SD) even if you use each component in separate systems.

Prerequisites

  • You are using one of the following: SAP for Telecommunications, SAP Utilities, Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, SAP Media, or SAP Public Sector Collection and Disbursement.

  • You have installed the following components as of the version mentioned:

Features

In a distributed scenario, you create the SD order and the SD billing document in the SD system. However, you post the accounting document in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable in the FI-CA system. Sales and Distribution transfers the information using an IDoc to Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable.

If you reverse an SD billing document, the SD system also sends an IDoc to the FI-CA system.

If you use Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) integrated with Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, then Sales and Distribution also transfers the corresponding profitability segments to Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable.
