 Changing an Account

Procedure

To change the master data of an existing account, proceed as follows:

  1. In the application menu choose Start of the navigation path Account Next navigation step Change. End of the navigation path

  2. Specify the account number of the account and the corresponding bank area.

  3. Choose Continue , change your data, and save your entries.

To assign another product to an account, proceed as follows:

  1. In the application menu choose Start of the navigation path Account Next navigation step Change. End of the navigation path

  2. Specify the account number of the account and the corresponding bank area and then, on the initial screen, choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Assign product End of the navigation path .

  3. Specify the new product.

Note the following when you change the assignment of a new product to the account:

  • You must appropriately maintain any additional fields, particularly the required fields that have possibly been added by the change to the new product.

    When you change the product, some account fields may get hidden. However, the system does not delete such field values from the database.

  • If changing the product also leads to a change in the conditions, you must take this into account accordingly. Before changing the product, we recommend you balance the account to avoid any inconsistencies.

  • You can only change the condition area (that could be different for the new product) if you have so far made no postings to the account and have not executed a balancing.
