In end-of-day processing you can use one of the following:
Event control (see: End-of-Day Processing as Event Control )
Job chain control in the current account system.
You can use the job chain control to define the processing steps to be run automatically.
You need to define the processing sequence that you require for the reports in the job chain, by choosing
in the Implementation Guide (IMG). To use your own reports, choose in the Implementation Guide (IMG).Including your own reports for mass processing:
This lists all the reports that can be selected in a chain. You can specify both reports supplied by SAP as well as your own. Note that inconsistencies can arise due to the
Continue
column, as there can be dependencies between the reports. We recommend that you only use the column for reports you have written.
Specifying the sequence of mass processing:
You can use this transaction to define any chains that you require. First you assign the chain ID and the corresponding chain name, then you assign the corresponding reports.
You can include the following reports in mass processing (the reports for standing orders and fixed-term deposit accounts only apply to banks):

The RFBKCHAINSTART report is provided to enable you to start a chain.
You need to enter a standard variant in these reports. You can also provide parameters and selection options of variants using variables. On this subject, read the following documentation: Maintenance of Selection Variables in Table TVARV
The IMG activity
Include Customer Reports for Mass Processing
enables you to check whether all the reports exist. Since only the jobs listed here are available in IMG activity
Specify Sequence of Mass Processing,
you can also control which jobs you want to include in your job processing chains.
Define which reports are to run in a chain.
Define the variants belonging to the reports. This means that you need to maintain the parameters and selection options in the TVARV table.
Use the IMG activity
Specify Sequence of Mass Processing
to define the chain, its reports, and the corresponding variants.
Use the RFBKCHAINSTART report to schedule a job.
Note
Note:
Use the RFBKPDT4 report for testing and the RFBKDT2 report for production. The RFBKPDT2 report has a check that prevents you from setting the payment transaction date to a date after the current system date.
You can use the RFBCHAINSTART report to start the chain in online operation and in batch mode. For online operation, choose
in the application. For an example of how a job chain can be defined, see Proposal: Process Flow of End-of-Day Processing .
End-of-day processing is triggered and carried out automatically.
Note
Tip:
To improve performance, you can use parallel processing in the system. You set up parallel processing in the Implementation Guide (IMG) by choosing
You can set up the number of jobs to be processed in each application type and in each target system. This distribution depends on the number of target systems and the available batch processes. Do not distribute more jobs than there are batch processes available.
