Display of Changes in Claim and Claim Bundle

Use

When you are processing a claim or a claim bundle, you can view a structured overview showing the changes in the relevant claim or claim bundle.

Prerequisites

General

You have performed the Customizing activity Define Icons and Texts for Change Overview (path: Start of the navigation path SAP Insurance Next navigation step Claims Management Next navigation step Claim Next navigation step Technical Settings Next navigation step Change History of Claim Next navigation step Define Icons and Texts for Change Overview End of the navigation path).

Specific to Address Data

Address data is stored in database table ADRC (Addresses (Business Address Services)), which does not belong to SAP Claims Management. This means that you have to perform the following additional activities to be able to use address data in the change overview:

  • You have activated the business function INS_FSCM_CI_5_EXT_2 (Insurance Claim Handling 5 - Additional Functions 2).

  • You have created the following entries in Customizing for SAP Insurance under Start of the navigation path Claims Management Next navigation step Claim Next navigation step Technical Settings Next navigation step Enhance Tables of Claims Management System End of the navigation path:

    • Table ADRC with shadow table ADRC

    • Table ADRCT with shadow table ADRCT

Specific to Claim Bundle

In Customizing activity Enhance Tables of Claims Management System, you have set the BndlHist-Relvnt checkbox ("Table Is Relevant for Claim Bundle History") in the relevant tables (path: Start of the navigation path Claims Management Next navigation step Claim Next navigation step Technical Settings Next navigation step Enhance Tables of Claims Management System End of the navigation path).

Note Note

With claim bundles in the category of Multiple Contract Handling, you must also add the table and also the shadow table in Customizing activity Enhance Tables of Claims Management System.

End of the note.

Features

The structure of this change overview is based on the structure of the navigation tree in claim processing. This structured change overview helps you to identify with ease which changes have been made to a certain object.

You can use it to see the:

  • Date and time of last change

  • Number of changes

  • Processor

You can select each object with a double-click. You can display all the changes made to an object, if, for example, it has been changed several times.

Display Changed Address Data

In the following cases, the system displays the changed address data in the change overview:

  • Loss location

If you change the address data in a claim that belongs to the insurance line Auto Insurance on the Loss Location tab page.

  • Inspection location of the damaged vehicle

If you change the address data in a claim that belongs to the insurance line Auto Insurance on the Damage tab page under Inspection Location of Damaged Vehicle.

  • Address data for buildings

If you have a damaged building in a claim that belongs to the insurance line Auto Insurance and change the address data for the damaged building on the Building Data tab page.

  • Accident location

If you change the address data in a claim that belongs to the insurance line Accident Insurance on the Accident Data tab page.

Activities

To call up the structured change overview, choose Tools -> Claim Changes (Overview) in claim processing, or Tools -> Bundle Changes (Overview) in claim bundle processing . In the next dialog screen you see the overview tree with the changes that have been made.

Note Note

In contrast, if you display claim changes using the menu path Tools -> Claim Changes (History) (or for claim bundles Tools -> Bundle Changes), the changes in a claim or claim bundle are presented in an unstructured list. You have no structured access to the change data.

End of the note.
