Background documentationStatus of Settlement

Display of the settlement status

The system displays the settlement status on the Settlements tab page in the Settlement Details section. The system determines this status automatically. You cannot change this status manually.

The settlement status has been configured in the same way as the collective subrogation/recovery status. The settlement status that is displayed is also a database status. The system recalculates the status after every change to a collective subrogation/recovery. It uses BRFplus expressions to do so.

Theoretically you can set the settlement status freely via the BRFplus. However, it makes sense to always determine the settlement status depending on the receivable status (see below under 'Usable Status Instances').

Customizing Settings for Settlement Status

Define a suitable BRFplus expression in Customizing activity Define Subtypes for Each Claim Bundle Type in the VR SettlmntStat field (value request for settlement status).

Usable Status Instances

In the standard delivery the settlement status is coupled with the receivable status. The system always sets the settlement status to 20 (as <Default>). In this case the system transfers the text of the receivable status to the settlement status. This means that the settlement status is always dependent on the receivable status.

Note the following exceptions:

  • As long as the settlement status is initial, the system displays the default text No Claim Made.

  • If the entire collective subrogation/recovery has the status Closed, the settlement also has the status Closed.

In principle, you could also use all of the statuses that have been defined for the claim (as defined in Customizing under Start of the navigation path Claim Next navigation step Business Settings Next navigation step Status Within a Claim Next navigation step Enhance Status End of the navigation path).
