Archiving Customer Contacts (IS-U-CA)

You can use the archiving object ISU_BCONT to archive customer contacts that are no longer required.

During archiving, customer contacts that may be archived are written to one or more archive files.

Structure

Data from the following tables is archived:

BPCTPOSFORM	Object relationships for business partner contact: Attribute values
BPCTSRGBINREL	Business partner contact: Generic binary relationships
SRRELROLES	Object relationship service: Roles
STXB	SAPscript: Texts in non-SAPscript format
STXH	STXD SAPscript text file header
STXL	STXD SAPscript text file lines

The following archiving actions and corresponding reports are available:

Action	Description	Report
Write	Archives the customer contacts that can be archived	REARCH_BCONT_WRITE
Delete	Deletes previously archived customer contacts from the database	REARCH_BCONT_DELETE
Read	Reads archived customer contacts	REARCH_BCONT_READ_SEQ

ILM Actions

The ILM Actions checkbox is available for this archiving object when the following conditions are met:

You are working within the SAP NetWeaver Information Lifecycle Management (SAP NetWeaver ILM) framework.
All the necessary prerequisites are satisfied, for example, the necessary business functions are activated.

The ILM actions allow you to archive data for which the retention periods defined in the Information Retention Manager (IRM) are evaluated. Furthermore, you can make snapshots of data and destroy data that satisfies the appropriate criteria.
