You can use archiving object ISU_PRDOCH
to archive print document headers that are no longer required.
During archiving, print document headers that are no longer required are written to one or more archive files. After you have archived the header data, you can display the corresponding print documents but you cannot reverse them.
Note
This archiving object has been reworked as part of a project to standardize and optimize data archiving. You can use the reworked archiving object by activating the business function Data Archiving: Standardization
of Archiving Objects (technical name: DA_ARCHOBJ_STANDARD_1
). For more information, see the business function documentation in the Switch Framework (transaction code: SFW5
).
Prerequisites
Before you archive the header data of print documents, you must archive the document line items.
Recommendation
To clear space on the database as early as possible, we recommend that you use the application Customizing
to make the retention period of the reversed documents shorter than the retention period of the other print documents.
Note
The Archive Print Document Header
mass transaction EAPDH
is available for this function. On the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .

You are working within the SAP NetWeaver Information Lifecycle Management (SAP NetWeaver ILM) framework.
All the necessary prerequisites are satisfied, for example, the necessary business functions are activated.
The ILM actions allow you to archive data for which the retention periods defined in the Information Retention Manager (IRM) are evaluated. Furthermore, you can make snapshots of data and destroy data that satisfies the appropriate criteria. For more information, see the ILM Actions in the Write Program section of ILM Enhancements for Data Archiving.
Note
When you execute the Data Destruction
ILM action for archiving object ISU_PRDOCH
, the usual archiving checks and preprocessing runs for this object are executed first. The data will only be destroyed if the normal rules for an archiving
run are validated.
