ILM Actions

The ILM Actions checkbox is available for this archiving object when the following conditions are met:

  • You are working within the SAP NetWeaver Information Lifecycle Management (SAP NetWeaver ILM) framework.

  • All the necessary prerequisites are satisfied, for example, the necessary business functions are activated.

The ILM actions allow you to archive data for which the retention periods defined in the Information Retention Manager (IRM) are evaluated. Furthermore, you can make snapshots of data and destroy data that satisfies the appropriate criteria. For more information, see the ILM Actions in the Write Program section of ILM Enhancements for Data Archiving.

Note Note

When you execute the Data Destruction ILM action for archiving object ISU_FACTS, the usual archiving checks and preprocessing runs for this object are executed first. The data will only be destroyed if the normal rules for an archiving run are validated.

End of the note.
