Object documentationRelease Object - PRENOTE (Prenote)

A release object that the system uses to determine whether the creation, change, or deletion of a prenote is subject to release.

The system uses this object to generate a work item for processing in the Business Workplace by a user responsible for release. The related prenote is not active until this release procedure is complete. Prenote checks are triggered during the release process.

For more information about the release process, see Framework for the Principle of Dual Control.

Processing Options for the Release Object in the Business Workplace

You can do the following:

  • Display the Prenote

  • Change the Prenote

If you change the prenote data, the system checks if the release procedure is applicable. If this is the case, the system does the following:

    • Generates a new work item for all agents except the agent who changes the data

    • Deletes the existing work item from the business workplace of all agents

  • Release the Prenote

When you release the prenote, the system updates the prenote status to Active. If you are using treble or quadruple control, the prenote remains In Release until a second or third agent has processed the work item.

  • Reject the Prenote

The system updates the prenote status according to the activity that led to the rejection. You provide reasons for the rejection in the Business Workplace.
