Retail, Cross-Docking Interface (ISR_RET_CROSS_DOCK_IF)

Using this business function, you can link SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) and SAP ERP Retail in order to carry out cross docking and flow-through goods distribution processes. You perform the planning steps in SAP ERP Retail. Following this, the data is transferred to SAP EWM, reconciled, and adjusted. In SAP EWM, then the complete functionality for goods distribution is carried out.

  • In order to be able to use this business function, you must also activate the business function ISR_RET_CROSS_DOCK_IF.

  • You have defined adjustment profiles in Customizing under Integration with Other mySAP.com Components -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Additional Material Attributes -> Attribute Values for Additional Material Master Fields -> Define Adjustment Profile.

  • You set the Indicator Inbound Delivery Split by End Customer. You make this Customizing setting under Logistics - General -> Merchandise Distribution -> Plant Profiles for Merchandise Distribution.

  • You activate the BC Set EHP4_CD_EWM for the IMG activities Define Item Categories for Deliveries and Define Item Category Determination in Deliveries (under Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Deliveries).

Features

The business function enables effective co-operation in the merchandise distribution area between SAP Retail and the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). Cross-docking and flow-through processes are supported including:

  • Planned cross-docking with and without prepacking

  • Article-based flow-through

  • Recipient-driven flow-through

The following functionality has been improved:

  • Splitting of inbound deliveries by end customer

  • Improved inbound and outbound delivery

  • Distribution of master data to SAP EWM by way of the Core Interface (CIF), also using SAP ERP adjustment profiles
